Petty Theft event photo

Petty Theft

Saturday October 19th

Since 2 days before Christmas 2003 Petty Theft has been rocking the Dallas-Ft Worth metroplex with their shockingly accurate, true-to-it covers of the music of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.  One of the largest draws on the local cover band scene, the band brings crowds to their feet, dropping every Tom Petty hit you could name, from 'American Girl' to 'Don't Come Around Here No More' and everything in between.  Offering up something from every album in the band's massive catalog, nothing is spared in order to get it right-from the sonic, and tonal qualities of every instrument, right on down through the presentation of same by the masterful players that comprise the band's roster.  Those who attend a PT show do so knowing they're going to see a band that will leave everything it has up there on the stage.  The band is mindful of this.  The goal is to never disappoint.  Disappointment rarely happens with Petty Theft.

Dustin Arbuckle & The Damnations with special guest Mike Morgan event photo

Dustin Arbuckle & The Damnations with special guest Mike Morgan

Friday November 1st

Dustin Arbuckle and The Damnations are not a band you can easily associate with one specific genre, and that's how they planned it. Arbuckle, a veteran of the progressive roots music scene whose singing and harmonica playing first came into prominence in Moreland & Arbuckle, has been kicking up fresh dust with The Damnations since 2017. A musician of vast appetites, he’s long held an appreciation for traditional American music in the vein of Charley Patton as well as the cross-pollinated sounds of The Band or Stax-style soul. The diverse musical sensibilities of The Damnations (Brandon Hudspeth on guitar, Caleb Drummond or Mark Foley on bass, and Colby Aiken on Drums) allow for all of that along with occasional forays into deep country and even jazz. “When we started playing together we all wanted the band to be a space where we could play anything we wanted to," Arbuckle notes, "and that's created this cross-genre electric Americana vibe."

Jason Elmore Band event photo

Jason Elmore Band

Friday November 8th

Based out of Dallas TX, Jason Elmore & Hoodoo Witch is a high energy guitar-based trio that specializes in melding various styles of American music into an original sound that is both familiar and fresh. The band performs mostly original material with a heavy emphasis on rock, blues, and classic soul that sometimes draws comparisons to Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Johnson, Black Sabbath, SRV, and Prince while never sounding like imitations of any of them.

The trio is made up of long-time friends and bandmates who have been playing music together since 2010 all over the Dallas/Fort Worth area, as well as extensive touring of the US and Canada. Jason Elmore is the songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist for the group and is uncanny in his ability to do all three things with unparalleled brilliance and originality. Brandon Katona unleashes devastatingly funky bass guitar and Mike Talbot is an absolute master of dynamic drumming. The three have a special chemistry on stage that has been honed over thousands of hours of playing in nightclubs, dive bars, theaters, and festivals, for crowds of all sizes.

Their mission statement is to give 120% effort on stage, no matter if there are 2 people or 2,000.

The band has released 4 studio albums and one live concert film. Their third album, 2016's “Champagne Velvet” debuted at #13 on the Billboard Blues Charts and held the #1 position on the Texas Music Chart for 6 consecutive weeks. In 2017 the Dallas Observer named Jason Elmore & Hoodoo Witch “BEST BLUES ACT” in their ‘Best Of Dallas’ series, as well as 2012's Dallas Observer Music Awards. However, this is no blues band in the traditional sense of the word, often to the chagrin of purists. Not one for being pigeon-holed into any one genre, Elmore most recently wrote and produced 2023's studio album “Rise Up Lights” which is a bold departure from their previous recordings in that it showcases the hard rock element of the band's sound and doesn't resemble much of their previous blues-based material. It is a throwback to the golden eras of classic hard rock from the 1970s through the 1990s with a heavy emphasis on guitar pyrotechnics and crushing grooves that would feel right at home on an album by Kings X or Hagar-era Van Halen. It is available 10/31/2023 for worldwide streaming on all platforms, as well as CD and vinyl which can be purchased directly from the band's website.

In short, this band really burns 'em down! You better see about it.

RAISED RIGHT MEN

Saturday November 30th

Raised Right Men — DFW’s premier classic country band — started building their songbook of old-school country and western cuts and beloved sing-along standards in 2014. Today, they’ve got a couple hundred honky-tonk heirlooms ready to go at the drop of a cowboy hat, and every tune they play was picked to get boots scootin' on the dancefloor.

Whipped into shape by steady blue-collar gigging and standing weekly and monthly residencies, the ace musicians of Raised Right Men make ‘em like they used to — and they’re looking to show you a good time as they celebrate and share the traditional country sounds of days gone by.

Ripper & The Bitter Pills ANNUAL CHRISTMAS SHOW event photo

Ripper & The Bitter Pills ANNUAL CHRISTMAS SHOW

Saturday December 14th

Sorry Folks there is no “Ripper” in the band. Founding member, Adrian Arnold’s wife, Cathy, named the band based on a scene from the hilarious two man play, “Greater Tuna!” The play takes place in the tiny town of Tuna, Texas… “where the Lions Cub is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies!” In Act Two, elderly Aunt Pearl Burras is fretting over the “egg sucking” dogs that are killing her chickens. To protect her “livelihood” and very much against her husbands wishes, she starts poisoning the dogs with strychnine laced home made biscuits….aka “Bitter Pills”. In this scene Aunt Pearl accidentally poisons “the finest bird dog in Dewey county, “Ripper”, her husbands $2000 bird dog. To hide her crime she has her nephew place “Ripper” in the street and run over it with her Pontiac. All this with classic Texas Country music playing in the background. So there it is .. “Ripper and the Bitter Pills”… Or as fans call the band….”The Pills!”
