Today, they’ve got a couple hundred honky-tonk heirlooms ready to go at the drop of a cowboy hat, and every tune they play was picked to get boots scootin' on the dancefloor. Whipped into shape by steady blue-collar gigging and standing weekly and monthly residencies, the ace musicians of Raised Right Men make ‘em like they used to — and they’re looking to show you a good time as they celebrate and share the traditional country sounds of days gone by.

The Buffalo Ruckus’ music has been described as a compendium of roots, Americana, southern soul, psychedelic postmodern avant-garde and experimental country-fried rock. The songwriting is pure and soulful with stories of heritage, spirituality, redemption, love gained and love lost. 

The Buffalo Ruckus has had the honor of performing on the nationally syndicated Troubadour, TX television show and at top-notch venues, including Billy Bob’s and the House of Blues, at large music festivals such as The Larry Joe Taylor music festival, Tommy Alverson’s Family Gathering, the 2015 Billy Bob’s 4th of July Picnic, Texas Music Revolution and the Wild Flower Festival. 

They have also had the distinction of opening for diverse artists, including Foghat, Cheap Trick, American Aquarium, The Dirty River boys, Ryan Bingham, Merle Haggard, The Turnpike Troubadours, and many others.

Boot-stomping rhythms, howling vocals, and spear-in-the-back guitar lead their overall objective: “Spread the Ruckus.” 

Ray Wylie Hubbard  Tweeted about the band saying “I dig what you guys are laying down.” It’s high praise indeed from one of the true pioneers of the modern-day Texas music movement.

Scott Sean White is a touring singer-songwriter who has had several songs recorded by country superstar Cody Johnson - two on Cody’s album “Human” - including “God Bless the Boy” and “Made a Home,” and one called “Over Missing You” on Cody’s latest album - the deluxe version of “Leather.” Scott plays 120-150 shows a year at house concerts and listening rooms all over the country, and has also had several songs recorded by Bryan Martin as well, including “Years in the Making,” “Poets and Old Souls,” and “Wishbone.”
