The Buffalo Ruckus event photo

The Buffalo Ruckus

Saturday January 31st

The Buffalo Ruckus’ music has been described as a compendium of roots, Americana, southern soul, psychedelic postmodern avant-garde and experimental country-fried rock. The songwriting is pure and soulful with stories of heritage, spirituality, redemption, love gained and love lost.

The Buffalo Ruckus has had the honor of performing on the nationally syndicated Troubadour, TX television show and at top-notch venues, including Billy Bob’s and the House of Blues, at large music festivals such as The Larry Joe Taylor music festival, Tommy Alverson’s Family Gathering, the 2015 Billy Bob’s 4th of July Picnic, Texas Music Revolution and the Wild Flower Festival.

They have also had the distinction of opening for diverse artists, including Foghat, Cheap Trick, American Aquarium, The Dirty River boys, Ryan Bingham, Merle Haggard, The Turnpike Troubadours, and many others.

Boot-stomping rhythms, howling vocals, and spear-in-the-back guitar lead their overall objective: “Spread the Ruckus.”

Ray Wylie Hubbard  Tweeted about the band saying “I dig what you guys are laying down.” It’s high praise indeed from one of the true pioneers of the modern-day Texas music movement.

Petty Theft event photo

Petty Theft

Friday February 13th

For nearly two decades, Petty Theft has been tearing up the Dallas-Ft Worth area with their spot-on renditions of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' tunes. They're a big deal in the local cover band scene, always getting the crowd on their feet with every Tom Petty classic you can think of, from 'American Girl' to 'Don't Come Around Here No More' and everything in between. They make sure to cover something from every album in Tom Petty's extensive catalog, nailing every little detail from the sound to the performance. When you go to one of their shows, you know you're in for a band that gives it their all on stage. They're all about leaving it all out there and never letting their fans down. And trust me, disappointment is a rare thing when it comes to Petty Theft.

Sunday Matinee with Scott Sean White event photo

Sunday Matinee with Scott Sean White

Sunday February 15th

Scott Sean White is a touring singer-songwriter who has had several songs recorded by country superstar Cody Johnson - two on Cody’s album “Human” - including “God Bless the Boy” and “Made a Home,” and one called “Over Missing You” on Cody’s latest album - the deluxe version of “Leather.” Scott plays 120-150 shows a year at house concerts and listening rooms all over the country, and has also had several songs recorded by Bryan Martin as well, including “Years in the Making,” “Poets and Old Souls,” and “Wishbone.”

Jack Ingram said, “Some songwriters spend precious time struggling to find their truth and make it rhyme. Others just pick up their guitar and tell it. Scott Sean White is one of the others.” He is a storyteller, both in his songs, and the moments in-between songs, laying out his life experience - his faith and struggles - and intertwining it all with his craft. His live show is starkly honest, transparent, and eye-opening - full of laughter and probably a few (good) tears, too.

“…Powerful thinking and writing at its very best… a contender for album of the year” - Lesley Hastings, Country Lowdown

“It’s as if Fred Eaglesmith and Jeff Black went out drinking together and stayed up all night talking, drinking sweet tea, and writing. Right? Vulnerable, gutsy, and intellectually sharp.” - Marilyn Rea Beyer, host of Midnight Special, WFMT Chicago

Mike Morgan, Jim Suhler, Texas Slim LIVE at Baronville Store

Friday February 20th

"Dallas is known throughout the country for its wealth of great blues guitar slingers, and on February 20, we will be very proud and grateful to have three of the best sharing our stage. These guys are each amazing when they front their own bands, but when they play together (which is rare) it is really something extra cool. Texas Slim, Mike Morgan (The Crawl), and Jim Suhler (Monkey Beat) each bring their own style to the blues, both with their guitar riffs and their vocals. Come hear them swap songs, trade licks, and jam the blues. It's going to be special."
